Since its inception in 1946, Nippon Seiki quickly established a reputation for excellence in the production of motorcycle speedometers. With its success in the motorcycle industry and extensive manufacturing capabilities, expansion into the automotive sector easily began. In the 1980s, as the Japanese automotive industry became globally recognized, further expansion into the Americas was a strategic success for the company, bringing its innovative products to the North American auto industry.

Today, NSNA stands as the North American Operations and Technical Design Center for Nippon Seiki, and is a manufacturing partner to numerous OEMs in North America and all over the world.
